After a convincing 12-0 shutout of Florence Tuesday night, the Blowfish came back home to the Lex for their first time in four days in hopes of their fifth straight home win.

The Savannah Bananas jumped out ahead early but Lexington County stormed back and knocked off the Bananas 5-4.

Savannah got the scoring going in the in the fourth inning when Jake Howard (North Georgia) slammed a RBI single.  The run scoring single was followed up by a Garrett Nelson (Long Beach State) groundout to plate Savannah’s second run.

Jakob Nunez (UT-Arlington) smacked an RBI single that extended the Bananas lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning.

The Potassium bunch added a fourth run in the top of the sixth.  Nunez slammed his first homer of the season.  The solo shot gave Savannah a 4-0 lead.

But the Blowfish jumped all over Bryan Cruse (Memphis) in the sixth handing him his first loss of the season.

After a groundout, single and walk, Nick Guimbarda (Presbyterian) knocked a two run single that cut the Banana lead in half.

At 4-3 with two on and two out, Dom Cuoci (St. Joseph’s) brought the thunder. Cuoci clobbered a three run home run to left field giving the Fish the 5-4 lead.

From that point on Lexington County didn’t look back.
